It really is steam powered, like a Choo Choo Train! Actually, this hauled ore and men out of the mines in this area.

This is at the Apacheland Movie Ranch, part of the Superstition Mountain Museum, along with the studio's sets and other Western paraphernalia.

the Superstition Mountain Museum 4087 N. Apache Trail, Apache Junction. All about a ten minute drive from me in Apache Junction, Arizona.

While I don't think I have much use for the Steam Punk stuff, mainly because most of it seems to be more artsy than steamy or punky, I really like seeing stuff like this fine winch.

I will admit though, I could probably handle checking out a steam punk wench or two after a couple beers... and a divorce.

We came across this one in an old mine earlier this year. I believe it was a uranium mine.
