Found a random wire

While changing the plugs and coils boots today I noticed this loose wire. There is a fair amount of it bunched up and zipped tied and then it goes into the harness. At first thinking it might have been from the PO, but it seems pretty well inside the harness so wondering if when I was moving around the ignition coil assembly it came loose, but couldn’t see anything. Jeep started up and ran fine.

Anyone have any ideas? Not sure what section of the SM to start looking at wiring diagrams.

To me that doesn't look like a factory wire, The zip tie definitely is not factory style. It looks like something added for some kind of an accessory by the PO. Peel it out of the split tube and see where it goes. At minimal cut off the exposed wires and seal up the end in case its a live wire.
Again this is just my opinion.

Thank you for the input. I agree and started to pull it out, but then knew I may not have time today to keep going so stopped, That and it seemed to be pretty well in there.

If I was a betting man, this is where my money would be.

Gotta say, just reading the thread title puckered my bung a little...never like finding random wires, especially ones that are disconnected/cut.
