Front wheel well liners for TJ 97? do they exist?

I am looking for black plastic wheel well liners for the front wheel area on my 97 TJ. The back has them and they help protect the metal etc. But I can't really seem to find any for the front except those made out of Aluminum. Did the TJ come with any or just the rear?

I can’t speak for everyone, but my ‘97 SE only has rears. I’ve had them out for a while, but things still clean up.

The TJ rear wheel wells came with the plastic molded liners. The fronts had the inner fender incorporated into the outer fender, all metal construction. Then an inner fender skirt/splash shield that took up space between the metal inner and the frame…

I just took mine out and had the under lined with rubber

You're best bet is to repair the rusted spots if possible or replace the fender altogether. Then maybe try a rust prevention product like Fluid Film.

If you end up needing to replace the fender you might consider going with an aftermarket style tube fender. Most of them will have a separate inner fender panel (unlike the factory fender) in case you find yourself in this situation again.

Clean up the rust and go with aluminum.
