Having a bit of trouble. I get in my jeep, start it, get a few miles down the road then my fuel gauge goes to zero and the fuel light comes on. It happens no matter the amount of fuel in the tank. Was wondering if it's just a TJ issue or if it's a wiring issue or the pump itself. I'm beginning to believe it's wiring because the lights behind my heater controls also pick and choose when to work. Figured I would ask before dropping the money on a new pump. It's not really that much of an issue. Just annoying.

I would check for loose or oxidized grounds wires that are underneath the dash board speakers and the grounding wires that are in both foot wells beneath the dash board.
Then inspect the wiring that is routed above the fuel tank going to the fuel pump and fuel level float for the gas gauge.
IF all of these wires appear fine; then the problem could be a bad fuel level float or the wiring inside the tank.

Thanks, will do. Luckily it doesn't really affect anything. I just can't stand stuff not working like it should.
