Guiding the post Covid reality

I’m hoping to stir some ideas regarding our return to the new normal.

if we let the left and socialists guide us, it will likely never be normal again. Sorry, a guy pretending to be a girl is not normal. Blacks beating Asians is also not normal. Lies should never become normal.

what constructive ideas do you guys have in this arena? This new “post Covid” world?

one of my many tasks I do for a living is buy supplies and parts. Costs have gone through the roof, service sucks most places, my circle if trustworthy friends/associates is shrinking. Some from my lack of “tolerance” true.

The big problem lately is non stock of parts and shipping. We need to train (or retrain) companies to ship right away and not use Covid as an excuse, don’t list parts you don’t have or at least list as out of stock

I am not and did not play the mask game. If your sick or been exposed, stay home. To me that is the type of solid “science” we should encourage. Trust one another to keep you safe and your family healthy.

Well first of all fuck the new normal, it is not normal. The way we lived before Covid is normal so until we get back to that we are just getting by listening to all this crap from the left.

To hell with boys playing girls sports, if you were born with a pecker you were also born with the muscle tone of a man and you belong playing with boys. Now I do agree with you if these local stores do not start stocking more inventory, Amazon will and will eat them for lunch.

Now since my buddy Gavin Newsom has somewhat re-opened the state my mask is in the trash. If not wearing a mask says I am low life Republican then hell yes I am.

The other thing I am soooooooo sick of hearing is " Do to heavy call volume wait times are longer than normal " Bullshit just say we are to cheap to hire enough employee's to answer our phones.

Oh one last thing I have not be to Europe either just like our wonderful VP

Good luck. Oregon is fucked. Masks….90% wear them still. 99% of businesses still make it mandatory.

Our liquor stores are state run. I went in, -about a month ago when restrictions were being lifted. The person working (state employee) laughed and saw my fake mask (net material)and said you don’t have to wear that in here!


I went back the next week with my fake mask that had double the material (harder to notice) and same worker came up to me about 12” from my face and said “Don’t come back without a (real mask)” I said why, she told me the paperwork they have said no netting at all.



I went 10 blocks down to the other store and haven’t had a issue. Same mask.




I can’t WAIT to move and be behind this bullshit.

The first thing we gotta do to get back to "normal" is quit patching people to stay home and sit on their asses. A big part of my job is making sure my company has enough labor to produce product. That's been tough to find, when unemployment pays the equivalent of 16.50+ an hour in my state.

Once people start working again, they get into real life and off the Dem sponsored social sites. Maybe then they'll start to realize that the things they think are important when there isn't anything else to do become less important when they are gainfully occupied

It is going to be nutty for a bit. Reprogramming and all. Amazon is still beating the local businesses because of their supply and fast turnaround. I still hit all of the local businesses first, then chains, and still, amazon stocks what they don't have and shipping is almost always two days. Sucks, and I hate to order from them

Glad I’m in Florida. I’ve been here 30+ years. I’ll take FL over all the Dem run places, lol. I guess it’s pretty bad when the “Florida Man” actually looks like the logical one, lol. Even the Dem run places in FL look conservative compared to CA and like.

As for what to do, move and take your tax base with you. Let the cities fall apart then move back when it’s all clear. It’s a cycle that’s been going on for a long time. What the left does not get is that no one, not even the people that think like them, want to live near them or in the places the run.

You can go back to the early 1900s, people moved from the slop of the cities, then the suburbs were ruined when they brought the slop of the cities to the suburbs, then people moved back to the cities, then the slop came back… it’s a cycle. In 10 years or so, maybe CA will be less liberal and thinking/working people can move back. Once the left runs out of other people’s money, they move on to places where the tax base moved to.

What’s different now is that the world has been flattened. Meaning the left can sniff out money from all corners of the country. Just like Chicago want’s federal money (yours and my money) for their failed city. That’s what’s different, the Dem run places can still survive (maybe) if they get money from the entire country to keep doing what they are doing.

We barely shut down here. Since we're one of the top 5 food producing states in the country, I guess that made us essential.

Unemployment peaked here at 5%.

Schools went back all last year. Mask mandates lifted months ago. It's weird hearing the national news since they are so disconnected with our reality. Sports and concerts are back to full capacity. The College World Series starts soon and will have multiple games a day at 35,000 capacity. There's a concert scheduled in our 90,000 seat football stadium.

New normal is basically old normal here if you ignore the national media and the government. Which most of us try to do regularly.

DMV had a capacity limit inside. No mask mandatory but all workers have to wear them.

For the most part, I refuse to do business with stores that have "Mutaween" on duty - but my face veil gets me past most of them. I utterly *DETEST* this bullshit masking religion/cult. My doctor thinks my veil is hilarious - because she agrees with me.

Having just left Oregon for Arizona I realized I had become programed. Several times here I have made it to the doors of businesses and froze thinking, Oh crap I forgot my mask in the car! Then I realize where I am and walk in and actually smile at people who smile back. Many people are still wearing masks and God bless them it's their right if that makes them comfortable or they have a medical need.

They finally lifted masks here in NY, except for medical facilities. I still see many people wearing them including in their cars by themselves.

I agree with the statements made here about companies still using covid as an excuse for bad service. There is no reason for customer service lines to be so long considering it is easy to route calls to people working remotely. They just don't want to hire people anymore. I have been ordering more from Amazon than ever, order it, delivered in 2 days and no questions about returns.

No matter what side of the aisle you sit on, the pandemic has been politicized. The politicians found ways to incentivize people to stay away from working a real job. Now they need to find the ways to get them back to work. It's pretty easy if you ask me....just restore unemployment benefits to the "normal" levels they were before the pandemic started. The impact on small businesses in particularly is appalling. The issues we are experiencing now are due to man-made manipulations of the market economy. The problem is that you can't engage a market economy by paying the workers needed to drive it more money to sit home than to actually work. At this point there's no excuses. Make the people get back to work...that's the bottom line.

Absolutely the ONLY time I've worn one since this started was on a plane to LA to visit our son, twice. This is what I wear and get no comments from any of the flight crew, just thumbs up.
I've NEVER worn one in Georgia and even when people were "asking" you to wear one in the beginning. I simply replied; sorry, but no, I have asthma, so I can't wear a mask. Got some funny looks, but they just walked away then not knowing what to say?

We recently ran into a few situations that needed just this. A rather large woman of color was wearing a red lace dress stretched around her. No under garments. People were so embarrassed that they would look away. It was clearly illegal. If it was my wife doing this, she would have been arrested. I was blown away how no one said anything. I was the minority by a long shot. Miami airport is a disgusting place this last year.

Hind sight says I should have at least asked her to move away from children then called security.
