Hard braking noise, need help diagnosing.

When I brake hard, not even emergency-hard, I get a 'clunk-clunk-clunk-clunk' sound. It's almost like antilock brakes, but I don't have those! Seems a bit worse when braking and turning. There is no difference in the sound when in rear-wheel drive, or four wheel. Any ideas?

Control arm bushings are shot.

Something is loose. Grab a torque wrench and start nut and bolt checking the suspension.

Motor mounts and transmission mounts might be suspect.
