My Jeep TJ 1997 Struggles downshifting Shifting into 2nd gear, I jus got my transmission fully rebuilt because my synchros went out and started grinding , When I got my Jeep back The mechanic Had mentioned to me that my shifter was worn out from the bottom and had to be replaced, so I ended up replacing it with a new shifter , thought this would get rid of the problem but is still difficult to downshift into 2nd gear.
