Hardtop lift feedback

They make (sell) some nice stuff, ok stuff, rubbish stuff and some actually dangerous stuff.
I was looking at a plastic air welder for ski base repair and wondering why Amazon wasn't listing them anymore. Uh. Make sure you're insured for fire if you buy some of their electric tools...

Well...I was leaning heavily towards checking this thing out today, but while trying to arrange for a meeting, it was discovered that the location of the item was not as indicated in the ad. Assuming the thing would work, I'm not sure if the travel time (~4 hours) and associated fuel bill can justify the cost difference between this one and a new one just like it.

On the off chance, anyone have experience with one of these or similar? Not planning on it for long term storage, just an easy way for one man removal of the hardtop for a day or weekend. Says it holds 200lbs, LJ top is rumored to be 145-150lbs. Have been offered a locally available "used once" model as shown below.

I have one from Roll-n-Jack (right now disassembled into pieces). Had to modify the top "spider" on which the TJ top rests since it was really made for JKs.

Worked well enough for me to take out the top by myself on my old black TJ. I did have to remove my spare tire first before taking the top off but that's no big deal.

I will get it out and measure for you later this afternoon and share here.

You have a gate limiter, yes? Wondering if that would be an issue with full swing.
Yes, on that black jeep I did have a limiter. You may be able to get by with the default full swing config.

I would say you should get it and let us know if it works. My LJ would appreciate knowing....:p
