Recently purchased a 98 TJ and it has a missing hardtop wiper that I'd like to get fixed. Finally received an arm since most of the places dont have them on stock and it doesn't latch on to anything. Been searching around but can't find an answer. Not sure if I got the wrong arm or if my motor is missing a piece where it holds on to. Hope someone can help out. Attached photos of what im workin with.

There are two different TJ hardtops that I'm aware of. I believe the hardtops 2002 and prior had vents in the hardtop behind side windows and the hardtops 2003 and after had no vents in top, the vent is in the tailgate.
The motors might be different as well.

Originally there is another sleeve that slides over top of the splines on the motor which adapts the motor shaft to the wiper arm. Looks something like this https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Spec...MI_8yz5s6o7AIV-QiICR06GQqrEAQYASABEgIMkPD_BwE

This is exactly what i needed, but didn't know what they were called. The arm I purchase has seems to be a 5/8. Thanks for the help.

Something is wrong there, see how the splines of the motor and arm are different sizes? Is it possible that your hardtop is from a newer model and the motors are different?

Thats what I was thinking, since everything was torn apart like the rear glass was replaced, but the wiper motor does have a 98 built date sticker on it.
