Has anyone ever had a lowering a TJ thread?

a pic of the part# on the front shock will work too. Which ever is easier to get at.

No need to take a pic of it, just find out what it is and report back.

Lot's of us started at 2" lift, then maybe 4" upgrade, then maybe 1" body lift so to have a 35 tires fits.
You are going the opposite, if just the rough ride you don't like, why don't you just change your shocks to blistein or better and buy a progressive spring on top of it?

We all drool for a lifted wrangler and you're not liking your already lifted rig. lol

It’s also the high center of gravity. If all I wanted to do is mild off road stuff it would be okay. On very steep off camber conditions you really feel top heaviness.

N66L. That's a long travel front shock. My front shocks were "N66". The "L" stands for long travel, but that shock isn't on ARB's spec sheet anymore, so I don't know what the collapsed/extended length of the shock is. I'm speculating here, but OME's N66L may or may not have the correct length for your current setup. A call to ARB may be needed to find out the spec on that shock. Of course, if you plan on replacing the shocks, I guess it doesn't really matter much.

The Jeep only has 25k miles on it so the shocks and tires most likely have much less than that. Regardless I may replace the tires and if I still don’t like the ride I will replace the shocks with some Bilstiens or something.

Something is not right here buddy. It's like she has a double "D" cup and you went for surgery to get her down to a plain "B" size because you are wobbly when you ride onto her.

What's wrong with you? She doesn't even have a high mileage! You need to get your priority straight my man!

[emoji848] a 2 1/2 inch lift will do everything I want it to do and be much easier to “mount”[emoji16] I’m too to old to care about looking “bad ass” function over form. I suspect I will still take this jeep places many of the high lift Jeep fellas would be afraid to go.

Made a call to ARB tech. Those shocks are 3" longer than a shock for a 2.5" lift, so they seem right for the current lift. If you drop it, you'll need new shocks, fyi.

You are going above and beyond! I expected to have to buy new shocks after the drop. What you have helped me learn is that I probably won’t need to buy a whole kit. [emoji106][emoji106]

Glad to help. You can sell the springs/shocks and recoop some cost for those that want a nose bleed lift.

Ok, just went back to look at your pics, and it looks like a factory front drive shaft, so you should have no issues.
