Howdy Y'all! I'm Kevin from OKC. I have a Solar Yellow 2006 TJ X . I've been in Jeeps since 1979 The TJ is going to be my project Jeep. So I'm excited to hear what y'all have done to your TJs. My nickname, YGBSM, is the unofficial motto of my Air Force squadron. I retired in 2019 after 37 years and went to work for a contractor.

Welcome from Detroit! I lived in DFW for 15 years and we would regularly drive up to OKC for shows.

37 years?! Hats off, I'm sure it was easy to stay in that long being AF. I could barely stand my 5 years in the Army. Haha

Time for a welfare check on my OKC neighbor... Holy moly it's been hot! Sunday at my kids baseball practice it was 104 with a 72 dew point... Today is gonna be 110 and I suspect similarly humid.

You're not kidding!!! It's not the 100+, it's the 100+ for a straight month that's killing me! I got all the drive train, and the paint and body work done before these temps hit. But it has been slow going on all the rest. It's literally one piece at a time now. My Armorlite comes in next week so I'm stopped for now.

When it cools off I gotta head toward your part of town. I'm half way between Eischen's and the Chicken Shack! Ha! There's usually a good number of Jeeps at the Chicken Shack on the weekends.

I was Detroit born and raised. I lived in Detroit and Wayne. Moved all over and did 27 years in Houston.

I know exactly what you're saying. I spent many nights wondering why I was still in. Ha!!!

For real. I could handle it if it cooled off at night, but it's still close to 100 when I go to bed at night and almost 90 when i wake up.

I'm getting out of here for a few days, rolling out in the AM and not stopping until I get to Colorado Springs. It'll be 85 when I get there and I'll wake up to the low 60s - a temperature I don't think we've experienced here since April.
