Hello everyone.

I recently bought a used jeep, a 2004 Columbia Edition. I originally purchased this jeep to run around on my property because a used Jeep was cheaper than a used UTV. What I didn't realize was how much I would enjoy this Jeep. It has gone everywhere I needed it to. Thick brush, mud, sand, filling deer feeders, herding my three cows its great. Plus driving to town with no doors or top is awesome. My dogs all love to ride in it as much as I do. All I have to do is jingle my keys and my three dogs leap into the jeep and are ready to go.

I have been lurking on this forum for a few months and learning as much as I could from the other members. There are many things I want to do to my jeep but I have a few things that need to be done. My shocks and springs have surface rust and I want to replace them. I am not looking for a lift now, maybe in a few years. I do want to add a heavier bumper and winch. I was hoping someone could point me to which OME springs and Rancho shocks I should get to maintain the vehicle height I have now but support the extra weight. Thanks for the help.

Welcome to the forum! Sounds like you found Jeep life. It can be addicting.

The heavier bumpers and winch will add some weight, but not nearly enough to make OME light duty springs collapse that much. You might look at H&R 1” springs.
