Who else has this issue?
My automatic cup holder that pops out when I push the button on the stereo won't stay out? Not only that, but the hole in the middle is way too small to fit anything bigger than a snow cone in, and that would just drip everywhere anyways!
Also, when I put my drink on the tray, when I can jam it open, the drink just slides off because it doesn't have any side to hold the cup?
WTF, how can I fix this?
Please help me.

This aught to work.

A 4" hole saw will fix that common problem in short order. 😊

Should I remove the stereo first or just hold the tray out and start drilling? I'm afraid of getting bits and pieces inside my stereo. It bewilders me why they'd put a stupid drink holder in the stereo to begin with? I guess for convenience while changing the channels?

I'd leave the stereo in, it's much less likely to get damaged that way. Heck you could drop the stereo on the concrete garage floor once it was out and destroy it, no danger of that if you leave it bolted into place.

Thanks Jerry, they don't call you the Jeep Guru for nothing. I'll try getting my wife to hold it while I drill it out. Your the best, but what if I wanna put a Big Gulp in it, will 4" be big enough?

You're right, your wife will confirm 4" is not enough and that 6" is better.
