Help me identify this long arm setup

Hi all new to the group and the Tj platform but not jeeps or 4x4..

Anyway i picked up an 04 rubicon and i am trying to figure out whose long arm kit this is. The jeep may have been built in CO and i know it spent some time in KS in the 2020’s incase anyone remembers it.

Here are some pics of the suspension. Its got aluminum arms that are double adjustable. I can’t find anything online that looks like it so hoping some of you remember it for the early days.

Well, my google-fu turned out a goose egg. Interested in the answer.

I've seen a couple single point rear axle side upper setups, but nothing double adjustable like this. The front frame side fixed for both arms seems crazy to me.
 
I'm no expert in suspension geometry...not enough to render an opinion...but from a fab standpoint it's pretty ingenious.

I think it's a radius arm system...and double adjustable, very cool.

I could see that working well for a front axle...with little to no room for a triangulated 4 link.

Certainly love to know more just to learn.

While I don't profess to be better than Google at anything, that looks remarkably like a slightly modified old Toys by Troy set up. If you want to toss your google-fu at that and see what comes up, that should help. Troy had some odd ideas and compromise nomenclature. He called the front a radius arm and it wasn't, it was more akin to radius rod like you see on hot rods. Absolutely no parallel arm configuration to slow down caster change when the suspension cycled.

I say slightly modified since I don't fully recall if the arms were aluminum. I believe they were but not sure.

While it may be ingenious, it was a shit set up.

Radius rod, not radius arm.
I could see that working well for a front axle...with little to no room for a triangulated 4 link.
If you don't understand why you would like to keep a consistent caster angle throughout your suspension travel, then sure.
Certainly love to know more just to learn.

Some notes from a quick scan of the site I found, the pictures are from an early `03 setup. TBT lasted another 4 years. These pictures used some sourced brackets, including the Rubi Express belly pan, that were eventually redone and offered from TBT. I think that explains the evolution of things like the truss and differences in the joints.
 
I don't know much about it other than I don't like anything about it.

At least now i know what i am working with. Now i also know how long this jeep has been together. It is on my 2004 Rubi with about 42k on the clock.

Looks like you'll have some interesting bushing work coming up. May just be me and my superhuman ability to strip allen drives out, but I'd get rid of the buttonhead hex on the rear upper axle side, at least it looks recently replaced with stainless.
 
Yeah the PO to me redid the rear truss and now the DS angle is all sorts of messed up. Ultimately i will need to get longer upper rear links to get that fixed up. I am also going to try rebuilding the joints but might need help figuring out what troy used.

Long term goal will be to redo it with something better. If i want bolt on i could run metalcloak up front but honestly i don’t see it being much better. Is trading radius rod for radius arm really an upgrade? I am no expert.

I don’t know what troy changed on the RE belly mount but it looks identical.

I think i also have his rear tire / bumper setup and gas tank skid..

Someone dropped some coin on this thing back in the day.

What’s your fabrication appetite? Okay with a welder?

If not, I think you’ll be able to source everything but the front frame side and rear upper axle side pretty easily.

WOD and I think TMR will do custom aluminum link arms for you. They should both have replacement ends, and you can look at Currie (rockjock) and Barnes for those too. Measure up the bracket spacing and bolt diameters, you’ll have a few options to choose from for ends if they are standard spacing.
 
Unfortunately moved to a new house so welder is not an option at the current time. Was looking at articles about this setup and the joibts are listed as “casette” joints which leads me to believe they are rebuildable like a JJ or RE express super-flex joint. I just need to figure out what was used.

The upper frame and rear upper are ones i would be looking to rebuild all others i could replace with JJ if needed like you mentioned.

I am looking to have arms made by Branik Motorsports to my specs. They are very reasonable price wise.

I will add pics of the joints when i tear them down to aee what Troy’s used.

Buy a midarm bracket kit from Saavy and cut the arms down as needed
