I only wash mine a few times per year. Usually end up washing if it gets any amount of mud on it.
I use cheap car wash soap from any auto parts store. I use a brush on all the areas that have mud. Then spray off the soap and dry it.
The interior gets a quick wipe down with a damp cloth or towel. Wipe off the guages, steering wheel, pretty much everything I'm going to touch or try to get a reading from. Radio, ham radio, etc. Then use the same damp cloth to wipe down the plastic uppers and windows. Use the Bestop zipper lube while clean to try and extend their life.
