Anyone else have this problem? When I unlock the passenger side door and someone tries to open it with the inside or the outside handle, it often does not unlatch and the lock rocker button on the inside handle moves halfway to locked. I then have to push the button fully to the unlocked position again to open it

It's a pain if I am on the outside trying to open that door because once it happens, I have to go around to the drivers side, get in and unlock it again.

I am inclined to replace the inside handle assembly but wondered first if anyone here has had the same problem and knows what is causing it.

On the back of the inside latch are two rods that attach via some plastic pieces. Most likely one of them is damaged or broken. I had to replace the latch.

i had major luck with just lubricating all the moving components with dry teflon and powdered graphite within the door.

worst part of the whole job was getting the interior door panel back on.

Mine did this so I just cleaned and lubricated everything. Now my doors lock themselves if I close them to hard. Id adjust them but its not my daily and i only have doors on it for maybe 4 months out of the year.
