Ok guys, new to the forum and have tried researching my problem to no avail. 01 wrangler sport 4.0L auto trans.
The issue I'm having is engine surges of missfires. When this happens, typically it's the number 5 and 6 cylinder that starts. What happens is, the engine starts misfiring. If I have to slow down for a stop or any other reason, the engine feels like it's only firing on a couple cylinders and dies. When I start back up, it still has a cylinder or 2 missing, but enough power to pull away with the miss. After about 20 mins of this type of running, the engine slowly regains all cylinders firing and runs great. This first started a couple days ago and here's what Ive replaced so far. Initally when I bought the tj about a month ago, it had a bad fuel pump which I replaced and had run fine for about a month when this started. I have since replaced plugs. coil pack bar, and all six injectors. Here are the codes that have been stored: p0306, p0152, p0300, p0305, p0301. I have a fuel pressure gauge on order to find out if my fuel pressure is constant or fluctuating, but other than that, I'm at a loss. Any suggestions?
