Is there a difference in auto and manual frames for a TJ?

Hey guys, I am new to this whole jeep forum. I recently bought a 2005 jeep tj and need to replace the frame. It is an automatic. I am looking at a manual I e that has the frame I want, but is there difference in the way the automatic and manual transmissons are attached? Is there something I need to add? I want to put an auto trans in the frame of the manual trans. Thanks.

No, the frames between an auto and a manual are the same, given they are both 6 cylinders and both of the same year.

Thanks, also another question. Would a jeep frame that held a 2.5 liter fit a 4.0 liter? Would any modifications be necessary?

97 - 02 and 03 - 06 are different. A 2.5 frame would need new engine mounts.

06 is the same as 03, 04, and 05.

The only difference in frame length was on the TJ Unlimited (aka LJ) produced from 04-06.
