I’m thinking about pulling the trigger on this Massachusetts 2002 Wrangler with 72 thousand miles. No accidents, had frame work done to it. Asking price 8999.

Need better pics of the frame work. Professionally capped frames are one thing, redneck patch jobs are another. This one looks sketchy, so I'd pass. Torque boxes look like they're rotting, and not sure what that wire is going into the frame Lol.

Yeah under body panels looks like its rust flakes so either a hole are there or is going to be there soon. Unfortunately in that part of the country rust is major problem for all cars especially Jeep frames. I would past because the cost of rust damage frame and body repairs would exceed the value of the Jeep. Plus you can find a better Jeep if you look longer. Will be worth the wait. Honestly newer might Jeep will have less rust issues if not driven on the road as much. Start looking for lower miles and no newer than 2006 if you want a TJ. Stay away from 2007-2011 bad engine oil burners.

The rust is hidden under the paint and will eventually creep out and destroy the metal from the inside.
Unless you are prepared to spend a lot of time scraping all those paint bolt-by-bolt and wire-brush all the rusts inch-by-inch.
