So I went to put my 06 TJ into 4wd and noticed that the handle pulled up really easy,-I could also tell that 4wd was not engaged (the light has never worked, but I never really needed it). I took a look at the linkage underneath, and noticed that the pin had come out of the transfer case. I was able to muscle it back in and then tried to engage and disengage 4wd a few times, and it seemed to be ok, however, do you think this will be a continuous problem moving forward? I am guessing so.....so what would be the easiest solution (as opposed to replacing the whole linkage with some aftermarket system. I do have a 2" lift with TC drop down spacers,-do you think I will need a linkage relocation kit?
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated, as I do not want to have this problem arise when I really need my 4wd. Thank you so much!
