Hey I just did something to make my jeep not crank.
I took my battery cables off and topped the water off in the battery then put about an hour charge on it. then i hooked it all back up tightened the leads back up and went to start the jeep. WELL all it will do is click or tick real fast. it will not even begin to turn the starter over, im guessing the silinoid is just ticking away but nothing starting . what the heck did i do wrong. is there a trick with jeeps im missing here??

What prompted you to charge the battery in the first place, initially you have two directions to go here. First remove the battery clamps and thoroughly clean and re-tighten the clamps then if it's still a no go have your battery tested.

Start with a trickle charge. When and if it's the battery. The abupt charge of a charger is too much for a totally dead battery to take. The trickle charger eases into it til it's got enough of a charge to fully juice it. Good luck
