Oh man I am so sorry to hear this. I was just thinking of ya too and just hopped back on the forum today. The situation is terrible... Supposedly one suspect is apprehended, but that will never do justice for all your life long heirlooms lost, and digital media/photos or records. I'm glad you are all ok though.

Sorry to hear my friend. Lost a house to fire 1 week before my first marriage. That should have been my warning lol. Hope I put a smile on with that one had to dig deep. Just donated and god bless you guys.

I'm so sorry about this. I've been watching the fire and smoke reports over on the wet side where my friend lives, and hadn't noticed how big and fast the fires had grown on the Spokane side.

Hey Jeremy, I know you have a ton of help from your church and local friends, but if you need a few more hands, I am happy to come over and help, pretty sure a bunch of the Turtles would be happy to jump in and help. Damn,so sorry to see this.There should be a special place in hell for arsonists. Last year i responded to multiple calls near me of a guy trying to set fires.
The community wound up patrolling the highway around the times he was setting fires. He's lucky the cops finally caught him in a different area....

Jeremy, a few days ago I was watching the news here in Croatia and saw the horrific footage of those wildfires. Today, I logged onto the forum and saw this thread about you.
My grandfather used to say: "The community is a strong mare!" In our old traditions, it means that when a village unifies, they can build roads, schools, and churches in no time. For the first time, I am seeing the true unity, faith, and strength of this forum in action, as well as on the fundraising platforms.
As for the house, my grandfather had to build his home 3 different times in his life, every single time because of war. My own family's house was burned to the ground during the war in the 90s here in Bosnia and Croatia. My mother managed to save only our family photo albums on her way out. She always told me: "You can buy everything back, but you can never buy back your pictures." Even today, she says it was a blessing in disguise that our old house burned down, because today we have a new and much better one.
As Job said: "The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away "... and we see that the Lord is giving again...

Goodness... Trying to find words but everything seems to come up short. I can’t pretend to know what it’s like standing in front of what’s left, but I do know you don’t have to stand there alone. Sending prayers and positive energy your way, if that's okay. We can gather up some clothes and essentials when/if you have an address we can mail to..
