Myself and Bob are looking to make a trip to do some wheeling in Colorado in the next few weeks and we are wanting to check on how open everything is now. Also any recommendations that anybody would have that lives in Colorado would be greatly appreciated.

Whereabouts in CO?

SW Colorado trails wont be open by then, those trails usually open up late July when the snow crews can remove enough to make them passable. Some of the lower elevation trails are finally opening up along the front range; Fort Collins down to Colorado Springs.

Really did t have a specific area in mind just really looking for anyplace that would be open to go to. We’re just ready to do a road trip someplace.

June is early for CO. Mid-July is when you'll typically find the high roads open with last year being an exception. Last year, the massive snow pack and resulting avalanches kept some roads closed all season. Given that reality, it may take a little longer than usual this year to get everything open. The high passes are worth the wait...

Thanks for the follow up and the advise it sounds like it’s in our best interest to hold off for now.

There are trails open, you'll just have to be on the eastern side of the slope to run them!
