That number indicates when you're supposed to rotate them next.
...and have them lower the pressure.![]()
We have 85-98% humidity in the summer months. These are my 10 year old (30,000 miles) Mickey Thompson tires. Slight cracking at the tread only.

The mileage on the sticker is when you need to rotate and balance them.Funny thing, there is a Costco sticker saying the were installed at 114842 but my odometer is at 112467.
just came across this post, after noticing my rear right tire has attached cracks.. while none of the others have.

You're cutting the corner too sharply and rubbing the curb, when leaving the drive-thru at McDonalds.
p.s. I wouldn't replace a tire with that tiny crack.
They're just over 3 years old with just over 16k miles on them. Last 4 of the DOT # is 0719.
I'm thinking I'm gonna get Mickey Thompsons next. They seem like they're worth the money. But we definitely don't average anywhere near 85% humidity in the summer.
no mc donalds where I live - luckily. I've probably watched too much Gold Rush on Discovery, where tire walls blow out nearly killing people.. so I thought if that tire might explode while driving, it could kill somebody.. especially me ;-) thread depth also fine then I guess? I'm not going offroad, but those concrete roads here are like sandpaper.. eating rubber like crazy
In Arizona I don't plan for any tire to make the recommended miles as anything will not make it. I never look at wear life as a purchase choice. The tire will dry out before the miles come around. I had KO2's when I moved out to AZ many moons ago and they were already old and quickly became cracked. Now I purchase tires every 3-4 years and that is only if the tire somehow lives long enough from trails to make it 3-4 years.
I recently replaced a set of MTRs that were 9 years old because the tread wore irregularly due to worn front control arm bushings. That number of years is about normal for me - well, the Jeep that is. The “other car” routinely wears down a set of hi perf summer tires in 15,000 miles or so. But I drive that one a bit more aggressively than the Jeep.In Arizona I don't plan for any tire to make the recommended miles as anything will not make it. Speed rated performance tires wear , like an art gum eraser.
