just got a phone call to support the annual Firefighters something or other. i don’t trust anything that comes via my phone or email.
do you guys have a support fund i can donate too. my father was a retired Fireman. he became one when he burned his fathers workshop down by accident in cooperstown (1974).
i joined the local VFD in Aug and joined the military a month later. so did a bunch of new guy training and that was it.

I wouldn't donate to cold calls personally. If you're in a rural area, sometimes they might call to support the local volunteers. The quickest way to verify is call your local department directly and ask.

only answered the phone because I’m expecting a phone call from a plumber with the same 303 area code.

it’s probably a case like my truck. doesn’t seem like 2008 is almost 20 years old. it was like just a couple years ago
The first time I "felt old" was when I told my son about the time I was fishing and caught a fishing pole. He asked why I didn't keep the pole as he could use it... I had to explain to him that was over 20 years ago (he was 9ish at the time of this conversation last year).
