Looking for 35 inch tire recommendations

You would likely have to step up wheel size, maybe custom wheels. Most trucks running ag tires have custom center tractor wheels. There's a chance you could find some 15"s under flotation tires, but those generally run wide.

Flotation is what's I'd like for deep snow. Not looking to spend $4k+ on tires and wheels though.

I found some 31x15.5r15s. I'd love to see how those do on sammy or 4cyl tj in deep snow!

I know this thread is old, but I was curious if anybody has any fresh 2024 info on 35 inch mud terrains for 15 inch rims. For those that posted previously any updates?

I ended up going with KM3's and would buy another set in the future. I haven't had the pleasure of wheeling in clay and heavy mud so can't speak towards that. However, the KM3's have done well in multiple river crossings, Moab rocks, sand and wearing nicely considering I've flat towed it 5-6K miles.

I'm in @zackcj7 region and have very similar conditions. We need wheel speed in the mud. ;) Then a few hours with a pressure washer.

We can almost never crawl an obstacle, those conditions ate rare. Folks don't usually got for 4 to 1 Tcases here because it is too low for most stuff. I have a manual with the np241 and 456 gears on 35s. I typically approach a wall in 2nd

I simply asked Mac how his KM3s behaved in the mud. I did not mean to imply I was looking for dedicated mud tires. Sorry for the confusion. The original KMs did really well in the mud, even red clay.

Anyone else have first hand experience with 35s that are still made for 15 inch rims in 2024?

I run Interco. Have a set of Boggers 35x14.5x15 on homemade steel beadlocks that are awesome in the mud and most everywhere else except where they aren’t, the road.

Also have a set of SX2’s that go anywhere with much better road performance but still a Super Swamper.
Neither is a radial.

That's wild. We have a real mix here in the southeastern US. We actually have 5 distinct climate zones in my state, from subtropic at our southeastern beaches to tundra in our northwestern mountains, and things tend to stay moist. Our clay, which covers most of the state, can be rock hard when dry, like you can leave black marks and smoke a tire on it, but when its wet, it's slick as algae on a rock, or oil on a polished concrete floor, which is when we need momentum and wheel speed. And it will stick and clogg-up quick. You should see transplants trying to dig in our red clay. :ROFLMAO:

Why? For what terrain and where? Texas isn't anything like Johnson Valley, dripping wet and steep coastal British Columbia, or the high Cascades in the dead of winter.

Yes, completely different landscape but the only thing missing in Texas is anything resembling a mountain. A caveat I should have mentioned: It could be considered a daily on-road driver since I don't drive much, working from home and living in a small country town. I have another vehicle but as you guys know, any excuse to drive the TJ is a good enough excuse!

As far as the tires, these are the features I like.
- 3/4" tread depth and thick sidewalls.
- They are quiet on pavement. No irritating buzzzzzzzz. Some people say they eventually develop it, I'll wait and see.
- We have mud in Texas. Lots of it. These things do a great job at eating mud and flinging it out. I wouldn't trust them in a bog, which might be sort of like Johnson Valley?
- All weather, including stud holes
- Rock climbing (w/ lockers)
- PRICE :D
- They are decently suited to any terrain I may want to play in. Not a masterclass, but for someone who is about 20/80 split of off-road and on-road across the wide array of Texas landscape, they are perfect.
