Lol this is what I was looking for. I was gonna purchase one on extreme terrain but if any shop can do the same thing then i’ll just do it at a shopThere isn't much to it. Go to your local exhaust shop and have them install a new muffler and pipe from the cat back. That's all it's going to take to make you engine sound louder is a different muffler.
The 4.0 isn't a great sounding engine though to begin with IMHO. It tends to drone, so I would stay away from loud exhausts unless you like driver fatigue.
Don't waste your money on any of the so-called "cat-back" systems you see online. They are an absolute waste of money. They charge you $500, when an exhaust shop will build you the same setup for $200.

Title says it all, I want my Jeep to sound more mean, it looks mean but doesn’t sound as mean.
I’ve been looking online but I would like some insight, any help is appreciated!

I can attest to the drone and that is why I'm going back to stock. Call me a sissy but when on the highway or driving with my doors off I have sound dampening ear plugs because I already have tinnitus in my ears.
Stock cat. No muffler. It’s mean. Sounds decent. But your ear drums will hate you. So will everyone on the trail.
