This was my 97 F250 that I bought when I sold my 2001 Cummins and I miss both trucks. When I purchased the 250 the PO already installed Rosewood 160/80 injectors and a 6 position tuner through DP. I eventually added the strictly diesel e-fuel and a KC turbo. Also eventually ditched the stacks and went with a regular exhaust. Eventually the trans (ZF5) was pulled and built by a local shop here in Tucson. At the time I had bigger intentions with the power and had all the options thrown in. All in all the truck was the most reliable truck I've ever owned and definitely regret selling it. At the time I was working in North Dakota and would routinely drive it back home to Az and to the Spokane area and it would get 22-23mpg's easy.

Thank you. Somehow she got the nickname of Silverfox and it stuck. As far as 7.3's in vans I'm not up to speed on them but have toyed with the idea of a van before. If my memory serves me right they switched to the 6.0 in 2004. I've read the vans do not have an intercooler due to space issues under the hood. To accommodate that the exhaust side of the turbo is slightly larger than that on a p/u. Never driven one so I can't speak on EGT's but would seem to help within reason. IMO if you found a van in good shape all around I'd run it. The difficulty seems to be finding that one seeing as how a ton of these went to work in various fields. One can claim fleet maintenance all they want but I've also seen less then stellar fleet maintenance.
Yeah fleet maintenance, I've NEVER seen anyone pencil whip a PM, slap it in the ass and kick it out the door.^^^This^^^
