Looking for input on 2” lift options

That's exactly what I'd do too. But I'm not so sure those Rancho RS5000x shocks in the link wouldn't be a tad too tall. Rancho tends to recommend shock heights that are too tall for the lift height.

If it was me I'd go with this version of the RS5000x... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B013PUD120/?tag=wranglerorg-20

Hi Chris. I purchased an 06 TJ Rubicon and I think the previous owner put a 2 or 3 in. spacer over the spring to lift the Jeep. I am not sure if he changed out the spring when the spacers were installed. My question is will the shocks you have via the Amazon link work with my Rubicon? I live in the Midwest and will do mostly trail riding and I’m looking for a better comfortable ride? Attached is a pic of the spacer as an FYI. Also, do you think I should do a true lift with the springs you mention in this thread?

Thank you,
Steve

Stock springs will give you about as good a ride as you can get. That being said, the OME light duty springs are going to give the closest to stock. Get rid of those Pro Comp shocks, switch to some Rancho 5000x and you should feel an immediate improvement in ride quality. My guess is you are running all stock control arms. Upgrading to adjustable ones will allow you to tune in all your driveline angles.

Those shocks should work, yes.

I would get rid of the coil spacers and get the 2" springs I linked to above, as the proper springs will always be better than a spring / spacer combo.

Also, if I went with a 3” spring could I still use the 5000x?

OME, Procomp, or BDS springs, Rancho RS5000X shocks. You'll want a track bar relocation bracket for the rear TB to center the axle after the lift.
https://www.quadratec.com/products/16090_1142.htmThe front you could get away with the stock TB, but if you are OCD, you'll want an adjustable front TB to center the axle. These coil spacers will help level the jeep's rake.

This front track bar requires no other modifications,

Because I'm just learning...will the spacers go on the front or back?

Does anyone have the amazon link for the compatible front and rear springs for 3” of lift while using the 5000x shocks? Are there any other hardware needed for the lift?

Do you have an amazon link for the control arms with a 3” spring lift?

No problem!
Hey Chris sorry to bother once again as I’m really new to the jeep world. It appears you have a really good knowledge up lifting the jeeps and I just want to make sure that I make one purchase that captures all the parts that I need for a 3 inch lift.

Right now I think I need the 5000x shocks, springs, control arms. Am I missing anything else? Again I’m not looking to do any rock climbing but just some normal trail riding in the Midwest and I’m looking for a comfortable ride with a good looking lift.

You will also need adjustable control arms, a SYE and CV driveshaft, and preferably adjustable track bars.

I would not have a clue which ones to get. Are there any Amazon link you could provide me? No rush.
thanks

For track bars, I would recommend these ones:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005TTZOU8/?tag=wranglerorg-20
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005TTZO9O/?tag=wranglerorg-20

You'll also need the rear track bar relocation bracket:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005TTZSQS/?tag=wranglerorg-20

As for adjustable control arms, these are the ones I suggest:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073NYB7XC/?tag=wranglerorg-20

If those are to expensive, you can get by with a cheaper set of adjustable control arms such as these ones:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076FFKWDT/?tag=wranglerorg-20

As for the SYE and CV driveshaft, give these guys a call: https://4xshaft.com

Tell them what you have, how much lift, and they'll set you up with a SYE and CV driveshaft package for a good deal. Those guys (Tom Wood) are the best!

I plan to do the same setup. I had the 2-3 “ shocks in my cart but unsure if they might be too long. After reading this post, now I’m thinking of going with the 0-2” shocks. Before I hit the buy button I need to ask if the 1” BL will have any affect on which is the right size shocks to go with. Thank you!
