MagSafe compatible iPhone mount?

Only a few threads here on iPhone mounts.

I am upgrading to an iPhone 14 Pro and want to take advantage of the MagSafe mounting with compatible cases. Have my eye on an Aramid Fiber case. I’ve been using an aramid fiber case on my iPhone 11, mounting to a Scosche magnetic mount that works incredibly well but requires the steel plate be inserted between the phone and case, which renders the MagSafe accessories useless.

What I am looking for is something similar to the Scosche magnetic mount, but one that uses the MagSafe system and doesn’t require the metal plate. I am looking for a magnetic mount, not a charger.. I don’t want the phone to charge every time it is mounted. I just want a strong mount that is MagSafe compatible.

Any suggestions?

I used gps a lot today and man did I wish I had a phone mount.

Think I found it…. Scosche makes the MagicMount Pro2 Vent/Dash mount. Looks very similar to what I have, but doesn’t require the metal plate. Might even screw right into the backing plate I already have mounted.

It’s more hardware than I need, but it seems like a win. Not the cheapest option and I hate unused parts especially since I’ll save them for who knows what reason.

That said, I never had issue with the Scosche mount that I have now. I’ve mounted both the iPhone 11 and the iPad Mini and neither ever dropped from the mount regardless of the terrain I have been on.

From my research, no magnet mount is better than the lineup from Moment. Pro grade machined aluminum and killer magnets. They have one similar to the Scosche I found, but I like that I might be able to reuse the hardware I already have mounted.
