Metalcloak Front Flare on Stock Fender

Gents,

I like the look of the Metalcloak 4" Arched Flare, but don't want to drop an additional 1k for a fender to mount it to. Has anyone got experience modifying the stock fender to the metalcloak flare.

By the time you go through the fabrication process to make the ugly flares fit onto the factory fenders, you will wish you spent the money on the entire set of ugly fenders from the very start.
