I’m interested in getting the MML for the driveline angle improvement, but I don’t think I need the body lift. Can this be easily accomplished? I did a lot of searching and it seems that they’re typically done at the same time, for whatever reason.

Just make sure to relocate the fan shroud at the same time

Absolutely you can install a 1" MML without also installing a body lift. The reason some also install body lifts is because the MML raises the engine fan height & the body lift raises the fan shroud height to match.

All you need to do is raise the fan shroud height 1" by drilling new mounting bolt holes 1" lower than the factory holes.

I was under the impression the mml is done in conjunction with the tummy tuck to balance out the driveline angle. And the tummy tuck required a body lift. Am I missing something?

It can help also with the drivelines vibes after a suspension lift. Instead of a transfer case drop. Or at the same time

My understanding is that raising the motor raises the front of the transmission, which lowers the rear of the transfer case. That's why a MML reduces the pinion angle relative to the transfer case, which is the improvement in driveline angle people refer to.

I already have 1" taller motor mounts and plan a 1" spacer to help the driveshaft.

This is what I want to do, thanks. my Intention is to install a new 3 1/2“ suspension lift and raise the engine for the driveline angle improvement. If a body lift comes later, I’ll already have the factory holes to lower the radiator shroud back into its original position 😊

At 3.5” of lift, I doubt seriously that a 1” MML will solve the vibe problem. 3”+ is SYE/DC and rear CA territory..

Slip yoke eliminator, double cardan, and rear “CA” (?) Camber Adjustment?

Is there a glossary or legend to teach me all of the abbreviations? I’m still learning.

CA=control arm

Sorry, there should be a glossary of acronyms on here! 👍🏼

take a look at the seam where the tunnel meets the lower edge of the firewall. My 06 got the BL before the MML so I didn't actually try it, but I noticed the gap was pretty small when I was running the harness for my speedohealer, before the BL had been installed. This is with the 6 speed manual, for whatever reason it seemed to have less room than my 99 with an AX15, on which I did do a MML without a body lift.

I bought my 99 with a 1" MML and lately anytime I'm offroad the fan will rub the upper edge of the shroud. I can't raise the shroud because its factory location is only about a quarter inch under the upper rad hose. Is it better to clearance the shroud, inside or out, or attempt to raise the whole radiator assembly by an inch?

Just trim the shroud where the hose is so you can raise the shroud higher. Many of us have done this. 👍🏼
