Utah Moab 2024 JuneFest 9th-15th

Well, if folks would rather see me brave a line with a high chance of ruining my rig, then I know I’m with the wrong ppl.

I’m ok if folks make fun of me after helping me stay safe…comes with the territory.

I’m a TJ guy who is well aware that my rig doesn’t excel nearly as well on vertical stuff due to not having the wheelbase.

I respect the hell out of a built LJ and TJ6, but that’s simply not my path with this rig.

Yep I think I ain't as young or as dumb as I was so a winchline is a good idea.

These are hard to watch after learning from you guys on how to do it correctly.

Hell left and right of the rubber look like safer bets than doing what they did (the first guy looks like he had no control/clue).

I think you're taking all this WRONG... I couldn't give TWO FUCKS what anyone else thinks or wants me to try with my rig....
I take it as a challenge to attempt to make lines or obstacles that might not be the wisest option for my rig.

Or has been said more than once.

I think you’re taking it all wrong. You can do what you want and I think a winch line is wise where you request it. Because it’s your rig. I’d probably follow your mentality in case that wasn’t clear.

I was almost flipped by the first person (and his two friend’s) who spotted for me…insisting to listen to them and not do the line that I’ve since taken successfully. I had to stop listening to them while I was leaned against the wall and got out of it. They thought it was funny. Not cool.

I’d feel much more comfortable listening to folks in this thread and would be ok with getting made fun of for using a winch line bc that comes with the territory.

Your Francis talk is unwarranted, Francis.

We'll have to agree to disagree here....

I will most likely be staying behind at camp while everyone jeeps. I’m on baby duty unless grandma goes. :(

If that’s the case, I plan on making dinner/meals and could whip up a menu and share in the event anyone wants a plate. If that happens, feel free to contribute what you feel is appropriate for your portion.

Anything we can do to help convince grandma to go?

While I do enjoy scenic trails most times when I'm at places like Moab I'm more interested in doing the harder trails and pushing myself & my rig. But since it's such a small group I'll go with the group.
But my go to is always going to be the harder stuff.

I posted that more for those to do in their non wheeling time. I've never been to Arches with a Jeep group.

My comment was more about you asking for input on trail selection. The only times I haven't wheeled when I was in Moab was when I was broke down. I figure I drove a long ways so I'm not going to miss out on a chance to hit trails.
But I know others who have family that take a day in the middle to do other things.
