Mopar water pump quality vs aftermarket?

Ahh man, I feel like I'm back on the carrier!!! (CVN-70) The camera took good photos...heck of a base-exchange purchase. :)

Love it man, those photos of guys hanging out with their shirts off are from the good old days...no float coats lol I love it. The best photos were when everything up top was chained down for bad weather or port visits (no flight-ops).

I think I see the F4, EA-6, E-2...do I also see A-7 Corsairs? (man-eaters)

I love the patch, that's great.

Why did the carrier spell out "people"....was it something political for the Vietnam war?

The views we had under the stars were were something else. :)

Always assumed my Napa was Gates... perhaps it is not.

Lots of manufacturers do binning...good stuff might go to Napa and other relablers.

Rest of it might be sold as Gates. Who knows.

Bought Gates water pump for a different vehicle I owned. It failed in short order. Got a free replacement, the replacement impeller rubbed inside the engine block. Threw it in the trash. Bought OEM, worked perfect.

Gates - never again

Same thing happened on a different vehicle…soured me on Gates bc the job was terrible on that engine.

The Napa unit I installed next wasn’t a Gates, but that was a different vehicle and 6 years ago.

Thanks for sharing ! You don't get to see an A-5 Vigilante nuke bomber everyday ! 🤔

Same here. The Gates has been running well since last July.

No idea if I got lucky or how long it will last.

i had a gates last 6 months before it filled my cooling system with glitter. A napa pump has been on for a years. A Japanese gmb i think? It's luck of the draw with these. At least they aren't 300$ each.
