Even with the motor mounts positioned as they are, I have a hard time believing the transmission actually raised vs falling down when they installed it. Something else's is going on. You either need a new mechanic or miss understood what he was telling you.
Here’s the voice mail he left me, told me pretty much the same thing when I went to pick it up. Talking about how he had to pull it down to reach the skid plate
So to fix the DS issue I’d like to get the SYE and DC DS from Tom woods but his Drive shafts are out of stock. Could I buy the SYE and put it on with the current DS and have that help the problem or will I have to wait to get a new DS as well?
Look at the TC tail housings with a slip yoke and with a fixed yoke (SYE). Tell me what you see different.
The slip yoke one has a rubber boot on it and I think it’s longer than the fixed yoke one
Yes longer. What about the yoke specifically? How would you attach your old DS to the new fixed yoke?
no I don't think it would reach unless I had a drive shaft with a spline like the one in the picture. So an SYE just trades the movement of the yoke for the movement of the driveshaft? I guess I'd have to get the shaft and SYE together so the measurements are right
Also, the fixed yoke is a receiver yoke that allows you to attach your DC DS with straps or u bolts. The slip yoke has closed ears so you can't just attach your DS to it.
