No humidity, Grew up in Fayetteville. we didn’t go outside in August. yet here you can go camping in August. hot during the day and long sleeves at night. its glorious
We had a cold front move through yesterday. 11 am now and its 81 with 43% humidity, which is actually pretty nice here. Sunday was 97 and tomorrow will be mid 90s again, usually with the humidity running in the 30-50% range throughout the day.
Oh yeah, you know what I'm living in then. Fayetteville is a little over an hour drive from here.

I'm guessing OP is young and single, and if he is, I would suggest considering his future family life as his main driver for where to go.
If you have good income potential, you're going to eventually want to be somewhere a potential wife doesn't have to work so she can stay home with your kids.
Unless you make a shit ton of money, the above is not going to be easy if you live near a large city. I would be looking in the outskirts of a market where I could get a good job, and suck it up and make the likely long commute.
I live in northeast GA and it's very affordable here for now, and if I worked in Atlanta proper, I'd have a minimum of three hours in the car every day commuting to and from work (a very shitty, stressful ride to boot). But if I was young and single I'd consider it.

Yes these are good points and that does sound like me. I've done the 90-120min commute before and it is miserable, I'd like to keep it under 30mins ideally and under an hour at worst.
I suppose I should also be considering whether the dating scene is any good now that you mention it
the closest metro to me now, Colorado springs, was rated one of the worst cities in the country for it

This is great advice ! We visited my oldest in MN in the beginning of August , a 107* heat index just sucks. but at least it gets to - 32*F in the winter .
I'm used to it, born and raised here. Transplants seem to think this place is hell July-September. Keep in mind it took a mid June cold front to get us below 90, and 100% humidity is common. The southeastern section of my state is considered to be subtropic, and I'm just a little ways outside of that. Palm trees can be planted here.

Saudi Arabia was the same, absolutely pleasant in September. But August 145F at 96% Humidity.
I prefer vacations in September. it’s always the best.
