Mystery Bulb Socket

Hello. I was poking around my dash and looking how the speakers are mounted (I'm going to upgrade from the originals). I had the right hand lower dash speaker out (near passenger side person's right knee) and I saw this light bulb socket (see pics). Does anybody know where it's supposed to go ? It was just dangling. Is it for the glove box ? Thanks in advance.

Otherwise known as Courtesy Lights...
You can see where it has the bulb number #906 embossed in the housing.

Does anybody know where it's supposed to go ?

There should be a hole on the underside lip of the dash to screw it into. Just find a screw to fit and put it back in place.

My apologies for dredging up an older post. I'm tracing down some wiring issues and have come across the connector with the purple and blue wires. Is that part of the footwell light? If not does anyone know what it is?
