Nashville TJ's Build - Continued

Yeah but it's just garage queen jeeps there, they never go outside.
There you go again!

Well now that we totally derailed Jeff's thread.....

What was the transmission leak? Hopefully something simple and easy to fix so you can make the next run.

A few week ago when I pulled the skids to put in the O2 sensor, I decide to fix a very minor leak in the pan - I was running a lube locker that never would seal properly. So, I pulled the pan and put in a Napa rubber gasket with tranny sealant, tourqued it in sequence down to 105.

Well, when I looked the other day I could see that a part of the gasket had split and literally come out the side. This time I did not use a gasket, just some RTV black. Let it sit overnight, filled it yesterday morning, and wheeled hard all day yesterday. So far, so good.

Well glad you got it fixed. I got my fingers crossed that my LubeLocker doesn't leak. I've used them before and had good luck.

Last week I took a quick day trip down to AOP in Pittsburg, TN. Beautiful day for wheelin'. I went down with my neighbor Tony in his supercharged, coilover'd JK on 40's.

Here is Tony's rig - it did very well all day.

We spent the entire day on the black's. Here is the driver's view of the start of a couple:

And a two part video with a big ledge in the middle...

And yes, I did chicken out on the big ledge...

It was a great time - AOP is no joke. Lot's of whicked stuff to drive up the pucker factor.

So we get through the day with not a lot of carnage. I damaged my top a bit, and put a bit of a bend in my driver's side rock slider, but nothing major.

Yesterday I finally pulled the rig out of the garage, cleaned it up, and took it for a drive to dry it off - and I'm getting crazy vibrations over about 30 mph.

It took me about 30 seconds to figure it out....

Oh well, that's what you get when you play in the big rocks. In went my spare shaft, and I'll either rebuild this one, or maybe get a new one built with a larger main tube. I may give ole' Tom a call...

Whoever was taking the videos outside of the Jeep can attend the class I'm hosting for my wife next week - "Turn the damn phone sideways before you record a video!" course (3 semester credits) ;)

Looks like a good time!

Ain’t that the truth. He did take quite a few properly oriented videos, but sadly, most of those didn’t pass the editor’s cut…
