I've mentored a friend's twin sons (who are now 30) for about 15 years on maintaining their vehicles. When they were in their teens, their hands were very fragile and not very strong. We had discussions about how it takes time to develop man-hands from boy-hands, and you don't do that playing video games...

Thanks for doing that. You may not realize how much they appreciated that, maybe not at the time, but looking back on it they wouldn't have it any other way. That's how it was for me.

This is great. Now have a look at their hands. My son turns 25 this year. He’s spent the last 6 plus years working with his hands and he definitely doesn’t have those softees he started with
I only have this picture, but I've been buying some new tools and shop items this past week.
I bought a new YesWelder DP200, new welding cart, Titanium fixture table (was on sale for $139 this week!), auto-darkening helmet, and a bunch of little items to make welding and fab life better. Looking forward to picking up gas and getting my outlet wired in so I can start practicing.
I'm going to get a set of 4-6" locking casters for the table. If I raise it up a bit, I can roll it over a Kennedy rolling tool box that I have to not take up extra space. (Note: I was given the Kennedy box by a friend that was moving out of state and just looked it up to make sure I had the name right. I didn't realize until now how expensive of a box it is! I just use it as overflow basically and use a crummy old Craftsman as my main box, which I also inherited along with loads of hand tools.)
Oh I also treated myself to a new ratchet trio since I've broken two or three old, cheap ratchets recently.

What ratchets did you get
Just Pittsburgh, nothing special. I think they're all 72 tooth? I've used some before and they're generally decent for the price. I'm not sure if I'll put the Pittsburgh in my Jeep bags and the Craftsman in my toolbox, or vice versa.
The ones I broke were super cheap ones that had come in cheap combo kits like these. I inherited a bunch of tools in that Craftsman box when my brother-in-law's dad passed away. Lots of good stuff, but lots of cheap stuff too. Unfortunately, all of the ratchets were cheap.
Pittsburgh come with a life time warranty.......
Yep! I'm not afraid of Harbor Freight tools for the work that I do. I'm not terribly tough on tools, but I've yet to break a Pittsburgh tool personally.
Since you are the resident HF expert, can I bring in an individual socket for replacement or need I bring the whole set.
I have a few broken t55 and t45 Torx from Pittsburgh
You weren't asking me I don't know off hand, but I searched and found this. Sounds like just the one should be fine.

Yep you can take them the broken ones and they will replace them.
I think we replaced about 5 T40's on 1 trailer floor job.
I have one of those and absolutely love it.
The table or welder?
The table seems really sturdy and like a good deal for the price and for my space. I'm excited to get the welder fired up. My brother-in-law (an electrician) is supposed to put my 240 in the garage as soon as he has a spare moment. I also need to go pick up gas which I'll probably do tomorrow or Thursday when I'm in the area of the welding supply.
The table. I have the Northern Tool version. My main welder is a 240v Hobart IronMan 230. I upgraded from a 110v Hobart Handler 140 which I still have and run it with my generator for potable welding. Night and day difference upgrading to 240v unit.

I completely get the horizontal surface thing! That's my garage in a nutshell lol
When I put stuff on horizontal surfaces it seems my family always relocates it to the floor for me.
If your brother in law is an electrician he probably doesn’t come across too many “spare moments “.
If it was my brother in law he would need steaks and Guinness to get a welder receptacle installed
