Ok, I think we need to form an official WTJF club, the "We don't have a fucking clue what we're doing club." We'll make @macleanflood president as whether he has a clue or not, he knows more than the rest of us combined...
We'll have our first meeting next week, somebody bring donuts. I'll provide the entertainment - but if I can't make it, @Squatch will fill in...

You sir mistake my apparent knowledge with a can do attitude...I have no idea what I'm doing most of the first six times I do something to get it right-ish around the seventh.

You know, that's an excellent idea. I find myself asking myself that question every time I work on this thing!!
I'm looking for some input from you guys, if'n you wouldn't mind. All of my battery powered tools are of the Milwaukee 18V variety. I've always been extremely satisfied with the brand and the format. One of the tools that I've resisted getting is a 3/8" drive ratchet, as I've always considered that particular tool more of a luxury than a necessity. Milwaukee makes 'em in a 12V format, which would make that tool the only one I have in 12V. To be honest, I'm hesitant mostly because of the cost, and again, I view it as a luxury item. Harbor Freight has 'em for far cheaper, but I've never bought a HF battery powered tool before. Would it be worth it to acquire one (affordable luxury), or do you think I'd be disappointed in their product? I know that ultimately, it'll be up to me, but I would appreciate the input from folks who actually have used a HF version before. Thanks!

i’ve also got the milwaukee caulk gun for use with the 12v batteries
if your patient you can get good deals on the 12v stuff
I have a Husky cordless rachet with a built in battery. Love it. Love how well it fits in places. Hardly use my 18v Makita one because the battery is too big.

I picked up a Milwaukee 12v high speed (3/8) ratchet during a sale at Home Depot, it really just sat around because whatever I was doing didn't justify heavy artillery
One day I grabbed it and used it and now its one of the first things I grab when I open the hood, that or the 3/8 18v small impact
Really? I have no problem with using my old ratchet wrenches, which is why I consider a battery powered one more of a luxury. However, when I see videos of guys disassembling things so quickly with one, it kinda messes with my mind. I don't know if I think it'd be more efficient, or if'n I'm just getting lazier in my old age.

I'm definitely getting lazier in my old age
My M12 tools are by-far my 'go-to' tools on the Jeep. Heavy use of the 3/8" impact but also the 3/8" ratchet and the drill.
I almost rarely grab the M18 drill & impact driver unless I'm working on a wood project. M12 is so light in the hand but powerful at the task.
