Not new to me but one I held off picking up this longer than I probably should have because I was worried about the body construction.
This set of test wires from Harbor Freight is a definite buy! If you can get it on sale when they put the Maddox tools on sale - even better.

From the pictures online, I thought it was a cardboard housing but this thing is solid plastic.
Also, what I didn't find obvious on the HF website is that this is a clamshell that spins and you could see in this pic. There's a spot to have you grab and then just spin the top cover (pic above) to coil the wires back in:
Ironically, about a month or two before I bought this, I had made my own set of test wires with alligator clips but they're just loose wires that I have to spool up by hand at 10 to 12 ft worth of length.
This tool is so much better!
I use this thing way more than I ever thought. You can spool out just a foot on each side to test something on the bench or on the Jeep or pull from the engine bay into the cab. Versatile!
If you do any electrical work, pick this up.

My test leads from HF immediately fell apart. Center pivot got loose...leads jammed up rolling in and out. Partially fixed by drilling out the center rivit, untangling the leads and replacing with a nylock and bolt.

Drilling holes perpendicular to a surface is such a common need in fab work that a drill press was one of the first tools in my shop. Then, after I got my fab table, I realized that the mag drill I bought for drilling on an actual part being fabbed could turn the fab table into a drill press with a giant bed! That was a game-changer for me.
Is that really where he thinks the strap should go? Every time he tries to drill it loosens it.
Pretty sure it goes next to the yellow sticker.

I believe the strap is just for safety if the magnet fails. That thin nylon strap is going to stretch with even moderate force and not keep the drill in place. Like many tools the initial cost is low compared to the cost of the tooling needed to fully use the capabilities of the drill. I don’t know the cost of a bit that’s long enough to drill straight through a 4” or 6” tube and have 2 aligned holes but I’m sure it isn’t cheap for one of quality.
This set of annular cutters was ~$100.
That orange strap is still in the plastic wrap. If I was doing anything overhead I'd use a proper tool lanyard around the handle and secured to something solid.

Mag drills are similar to plasma cutters. They are okay except for the few life saving moments they are actually useful and the rest of them time, they collect dust. I would not trade my largish drill press which gets used daily for a mag drill. I have a very nice Milwaukee mag drill with lots of annular cutters and other Weldon chuck attachments including a Jacobs drill chuck for normal drill bits if that matters.
All depends on your personal philosophy about quality. If I'm going to the effort to get the drill out, it is going to get a high quality bit in it.
Yeah, kind of why I haven’t pulled the trigger. I have a largish floor drill press and a smaller table mounted drill press that I usually leave a smaller bit in for pilot holes. The mag would be handy in some situations that don’t happen very often.
Only reason I ordered the mag drill was I had a seized 1" pin in my dump trailer. I spent an afternoon cutting the other side out last year with a torch. I figured I'd use a mag drill for the the other side.

Agreed. I have a lot invested in tooling. It makes or breaks a project, just like good tools do. I try to do projects in similar fashion to the way they were done in the various race and prototyping shops I worked in/with over the years. It's not cheap, unfortunately, especially as a hobbyist that doesn't get a monetary return on my investment. But it sure feels great to accomplish something when done well!
My screwdrivers are all cordless. So were my dads.
