Non Jeep Tire Pressure confusement

Yeah I tried the usual Jeep pressure (28) and it's a comfortable psi but a sluggish on acceleration. I tried the crazy 45 psi and I ended up upside down in my seat. Right now I'm running 32 which is a bit rough around town but nice on the highway.

Could that rough ride have anything to do with shocks or springs? Can't recall if you upgraded those or not... I believe you did?

Yeah I'm running Bilstein HD's with tired factory coils. It's really soft and I'm thinking of upgrading....again. :hsughwiggle:

Maybe it's time for some better springs.

Problem with that is there are very few spring options. OME is the most common but they are known to be stiff. Every other spring out there is 3" or bigger and I don't want that.

Lol never understood the whole psi for tires either. My first jeep had a max psi of 50 so I drove it like that and it was like getting an uppercut in the fart box every bump and I though my jeep was going to fall apart. I tried the chalk test and ended up just running my 33's at 30.

Yeah but not a whole lotta options out there.

Yeah, I noticed there isn't as many lift options for the 4Runner as there is for our TJs.

I was looking at the coilover options personally. For about $1200 or so you can get a nice set it seems.

Yeah but it's overkill for a daily driver with occasional wood trails. I wouldn't mind refreshing the stock springs and just inserting a 1" spacer but holy damn stock 1999 Toyota springs are like $127 a piece.
