Not-so-great heat, running a little cool (I think)

I had the same issue, replaced fan clutch, tStat, flushed heater core and even fixed a broken blend door and nothing worked. I recently spent the $20 and go a new coolant temp sensor and it fixed my issue.
Yeah that's about all that's left for me. My heat is good now though because when I changed the heater core I pulled out about a cubic foot of nesting material, blows nice & hot, it's just the temp value that's annoying me.

It is not likely that the fan clutch is the culprit. First, if the fan clutch was locked up the constant roaring noise should be a dead giveaway, plus noticeable loss of power. Second, a locked up fan clutch can't override a properly operating thermostat to make the engine run too cool. By far the most likely culprit is faulty or too cool rated thermostat. A distant but possible second is a malfunctioning temperature sensor/sending unit.
