OEM Fog Lamp Bracket Question

Hello All,

In my excitement and enthusiasm in finding a pair of OEM fog lamps for a reasonable price and within a 30min drive I failed to notice what looks to be a difference in the mounting brackets. As you can see by the pics, one is adjusted pretty far out and the lamp still isn't vertical so I wanted to ask if in fact Chrysler changed them at some point through the TJ years or wondering if the one fog lamp is from a different Jeep?

And my other question is if any one in the group has an orphaned correct bracket they would be willing to part with?

I had a similar issue with the used ones I purchased. It can be due to several factors including bent bracket, etc.. I fixed mine by using additional spacers and washers on bracket where the adjusting screw is. They point pretty straight.

Indeed they are oem. I have them on both my 01 and 03 tjs.

05-06 got the Hella fogs like yours. 97-04 got the OBEN fogs like OP.

Might have to take them back off and do a deep dive to see if I see anything that's off...

The bracket can be slightly bent and un-noticeable as mine was. I actually took my fogs completely apart, thoroughly cleaned the inside and used cook top cleaner on the glass, installed yellow lamps and re-sealed everything with automotive silicone adhesive. Looks new, and made the light shine alot sharper

I finally took my fog lamps back off and removed the brackets to see if/what the differences might be and found some interesting differences between them (see images below). The problem one doesn't look bent but does have a noticeably different profile compared to the other one that isn't giving me the adjustment issue. I started to "adjust" the one but after a few persuasive "taps" with a BFH, the sides started to bend/twist and wasn't making much headway to correct the problem. Has anyone else seen these differences before?

I am now on the hunt to find another bracket.

Depending on which bracket is pointing incorrectly and whether it's pointing too high or too low, you can add washers and/or spacers behind the fog lamp body to point downward.
