Wow... That isn't even worth close to 15k IMHO. That things ugly as sin, and that angry bird grill along with the bedliner coated hood just makes it look even worse. Not to mention those wheels... ugh.
Color changing LED lights, "Toxic" wheels, and a Skyjacker lift... You can tell someone really went all out on this one!
Oh yeah all opinions aside on the looks, the 15k price tag is insane, it's a 4 banger too (at least thats what they list)
I missed the 4 banger part... Okay, that cements the fact that there's no way that thing is worth 15k.
He is going to have a hard time selling it, despite the ad saying that "I won't need help selling it".

Man, that is pretty much the perfect LJ to me. Right color, manual, good parts. Hopefully I can turn my TJ into something similar.
I never realized how many people on here like the auto TJ's until recently. I've never driven one, but with all the hype around them, I might have to find one to drive at some point here. If I was out of college and had the money, I'd be on that jeep in an instant.
I grew up driving manuals and owned pretty much nothing but manuals until I got into Jeeps. I absolutely will not own a Wrangler unless it is an auto. There's the advantage you have in sticky situations off-road, but there's also the fact that driving a big heavy vehicle like a Wrangler in a manual is much more annoying than driving a sports car such as a Miata or M3 in a manual.
My step-dad has a Toyota Tundra in a manual and I hate driving it. It's so big and lengthy that it's like rowing a damn boat.
It's relaxing driving the TJ as an auto. I'm not saying manuals suck by any means, I'm just saying that if you owned one for long enough, I think you'll dig it. I know @Starrs agrees with me on this one as well.
Yeah I live in SF with lots of steep hills, stop signs and traffic. Nothing about that makes owning a manual sound fun.
I can certainly see your point now that I'm in Chicago. It's a pain in the neck driving my Jeep around in the traffic thats here. When I lived in Wyoming, I loved the manual to death. I don't think I'll ever swap my TJ over to an auto, because I do like the fact that I have complete control over what gear I'm in. If I was ever building my Jeep to do serious off-roading, I would definitely want an auto. But for now, my Jeep is more of a casual fun off-road vehicle.
One thing that always drives me insane is the constant arguments between manual and autos. I personally think it just comes down to personal preference based on a lot of factors. I certainly do want to find an auto TJ and see how it drives. I'd imagine its a totally different driving experience! I have a lot of experience in an automatic 4 door JK with 3.21's because my Dad has one and I drove it a bit during high school. One thing I can say is that was terrible. My Dad's JKU is not something I would ever want to own. But, with the right gears, I'm sure I wouldn't have that opinion about an auto TJ.
I was looking for a manual when I bought mine, since it wasn't the DD and I enjoy shifting my own gears. I found out quickly since getting into trail riding automatics are much easier to manage in tough situations, specifically when going though up hill obstacles. With the Rubicons transfer case, navigating trails in 4 low can be tedious at times. I will say on decending hills the manual gives me great control.
If I were to do it all over again, I'd probably seek out an automatic for that reason. It's not reason enough for me to change though!

I agree. In Wyoming a manual would be amazing. But when you’re always driving through the city in traffic, it’s a real curse!
They both have their strong and weak points.
No doubt. I’ve been to SF many times and those hills and traffic alone would leave me left foot aching by the time I got home.
Of course that’s similar to how it is on some of the steep off-road trails if you have a manual!
My intuition and everything I've seen on forums would tell me that automatics are better off-road. The only automatic I've ever driven off-road was a 450 horsepower rock buggy on 42's (photo attached) so I don't really have enough experience to say for sure. But I do know a few members in local jeep clubs have sold their manuals to get automatics. I wish I had more experience with automatic TJ's, because it might sway my opinion on them a bit. Next time I'm out with my club, I might have to ask to try one the TJ's with auto's.

I'm going to need to see some links to these better Jeeps haha. Need to see more Jeeps that I'm pissed I don't own.
Just had to learn on the fly how to use all three pedals at the same time in a bad spot once. A hand throttle (it's on the list) will eliminate that issue. Another time or two where I'd prefer not to have to shift when I did. Driving around Indy I love the 5 speed, traffic is never too bad.

Not a fan of the Savvy Armor? I'm in opposite field. The corner guards aren't my favorite, but besides that, I think that Jeep is perfect.
Whats your opinion on this Jeep? Going for somewhere in the 50's and I think it might have just sold. Not the same as the LJ at all, but I like it a lot as well. Great thing about TJ's is that there are so many ways to modify them!
