I need to replace my Damper on my 2000 TJ and have been reading that Return To Center (RTC) like a Tough Dog are a good alternate for a oem?Gas-charged steering stabilizers like from OME can tend to push the steering towards the driver's side. I'd just stick with a good quality hydraulic stabilizer like from Rancho, Monroe etc.
The damper really has nothing to do with a good return to center, that's more a function of your caster and toe-in angles. Rancho's hydraulic RS5000 is a good inexpensive steering stabilizer/damper with all the parts needed like the replacement tapered stub. Monroe is good too, no need to spend a lot of $$ for this particular part of the TJ.I need to replace my Damper on my 2000 TJ and have been reading that Return To Center (RTC) like a Tough Dog are a good alternate for a oem?
I'd like to know what your thoughts are?

The Monroe is currently ~half the price of the Rancho ($30 vs $60) is there a reason to buy the Rancho over the Monroe?
