Opinions: 15x9" or 17x8.5" Beadlock wheels (for 35s)

Those are the exact wheels that I've been most interested in. Did you go with 3.5" or 4.0" of BS?

I'd definitely go for 4.0" of backspacing for the tire sizes you have mentioned. They stick out further than is needed with 3.5".

I have to look into more, but I suspect the 4” will put my tire closer to the SL than I prefer.

I have 15x9 4" BS trail ready beadlocks. I sent one wheel to MrBlaine to fit the 16" brakes behind it, and I know he had to do some work to make everything fit with the wheel. He had the holes on the knuckle slotted slightly and the rotors machined down some. I ordered an extra set of front rotors in case I ever need them.

Are you running a swayloc with your backspacing? The SL is the biggest reason I’m leaning away from 4” of bs. I’d prefer 3.75” but TR doesn’t offer that option.

In my case, a 12.5x35 on 3.75" backspacing rubbed the SwayLoc a bit. My current same size tire on 4" backspacing rubs the SwayLoc a tiny bit more. Knowing that higher backspacing improves the steering and handling a little bit along with all the other little things I've done that improve the steering and handling, I'll keep the minor rubbing.

I think I'm almost over hating you for that job.

I still have more then enough clearance away from the my Currie arms and frame for my 35x12.50 tires with 4" of backspacing. To me, 4" is ideal for 35's and commonly installed suspension lifts.
