Opinions - Tuffy Security Deck Enclosure

I just installed one in my '04 TJ; I also cut a piece of 1/2" thick foam padding and glued it to the top of same. Reasonably easy to install and, and as with most Tuffy products, well-built. I've had 3 of the Tuffy full security boxes in my last 3 Wranglers; having said that, I believe that overall I prefer this to those. There's quite a bit more storage space, there's one less key to worry about, and it is reasonably secure IMHO. The only "downside" is that you won't be able to recline your seats too far, assuming that you have 'em all the way back w/in their tracks - the Tuffy security lock box allows for more front seat "reclinabilitynessness" (that's an Industry Term)...

I installed one a few weeks ago in my '00 TJ. I think that it could fit better and the metal is pretty thin but I like it overall.

In regards to installing issues, I thought the instructions could have been better. However, if I could figure it out anyone can too.

I've owned four Tuffy products and they were all superb, strong, and very well built.

Can also vouch: I own a center console and an under seat lockbox, both made by Tuffy, and they're beastly.

I don't own the trunk storage unit, but I can almost guarantee it's going to be of the same quality.

I have their drawer. Great stuff, the drawer is really worth it.

If you are going to buy anything new call Tuffy and buy direct. They are great to deal with.
