So after much shopping and looking around... I finally pulled the trigger on my lift kit Sunday. I ordered the Rancho Currie Lift from Quadratec. So I will have the 4 inch Johnnie Joint suspension lift with Rancho 9000XL shocks. Is there anything I should know before trying to install this lift? I plan on doing it myself. I will run the TC drop for a short while. I have the money for an Adams Driveshaft SYE kit, just need to wait to get the lift installed to get the correct measurement for the driveshaft. I also ordered the Currie rear shock relocation brackets, and I have a JKS adjustable front track bar.
I am nervous about doing the pinion angle adjustment. So any advice, how to's threads, or videos, would be greatly appreciated. I have access to a nice shop area, but no vehicle lift. For the time being, I am going to have to run the stock rims, but was curious, can I run a 33x12.50R15 on the stock rim? Based on the research I have done I think I am going to be SOL. Since I pulled the trigger on a $2,600 lift, gonna have to save money for tires.
This is the kit I purchased

Installing a lift is very easy.

My best advice is going to be drop the axles and do not use a spring compressor.

Also remember that when adjusting control arms, measuring the length of the arms is 100% useless.

Length doesn't matter. What matters is the center of the lower spring perch is centered with the jounce bumper when the axle is fulled stuffed.

You can set that by using the lower arm adjustments and then using the upper arm adjustments to dial in pinion angle.

I don't think that lift would have been my first choice as it doesn't have double adjustable uppers, but it's still not a bad lift by any means (y)

Also, don't forget to set your bump stop properly:

Agreed with @Chris ... Not a bad lift, but I pieced together a lift with Savvy arms for the same price but I had to add Rancho shocks so maybe a little more but have better arms

Will probably need a set of wheel spacers to get the backspacing right. Your shooting for 3.5-3.75 backspacing including the spacer.

You could run a set of 33x 10.5’s on stock wheels with some 1” wheel spacers

For 33x12.5's you want 3.75-4.5" backspacing. 4.5" the tires will rub at or close to full lock in the front, but a washer or two on the steering stops will fix that.

I made a video for this lift and used the same shocks, I would have done it slightly different than shown in the video, and I only did the front so far, but maybe this will help you

I would take your time on setting up the pinion angle, make sure the axle is in the center of your jeep, make sure the axle is where you want it in the wheel well, and then my opinion is to get the arms in without having to force any of them, maybe the uppers are not the exact same length but I regret having to force mine. There is a good sticky on this forum about how to set up your lift. And make sure you measure for bump stops, I didn't and I'll have to go back and do that now, should have done it right the first time.
