I've been getting P0344 and P0340 codes even after I've replaced the Cam Position Sensor and Crankshaft Position Sensor. I don't have the original Cam Position Sensor, which I've been told is bad. I've seen on other forums that replacing the OPDA and/or ECM will fix the issue. Any experience with that, or other suggestions?
Thanks!

From what I understand, if you encounter this issue you may need to do a relearning procedure with a DRBIII.

You'll need to find a shop that has one and a mechanic who knows how to use one.

See this thread, it might help: DRBIII emulator in a virtual machine

You need to check the OPDA shaft and gear for wear. Also the cam gear.

The PCM is going to eventually fail, but those codes are not the usual suspects.

I had my cam sensor relearned the week before last, and then installed a crankshaft sensor this past Sunday. I'm taking it to the shop later this week to relearn and sync the two. They feel confident this will solve the problem. Thanks for the input!

That will probably be my next option if syncing the cam and crank sensor later this week doesn't work. I'm also looking into replacing the ECM as another option. This just seems to be one of those things that you try all your options until it works. Thanks for the input!

The only known solution to the 05, 06 piece of crap PCM is by Wranglerfix.com They have adapted a different PCM to work.

The usual problems of a bad PCM are all O2s show as bad, it shuts off randomly driving down the road, hard shifting on ATs.

If you still have the OEM OPDA, it needs to be replaced before it seizes, and/or ruins the cam gear.
